Introduction

The purpose of this alert is to provide advance information on the conducting of a preliminary market consultation to capture the availability or the possibilities that the market may develop, of AI-based solutions to prevent health problems related to medicines based on the clinical data available from the same health system.

It is also the object of this consultation to inform about the future tender procedure to achieve the maximum participation of the interested parties, to know the technical characteristics and the quality of the solutions proposed by the market and to allow the interested parties to formulate comments and suggestions that are taken into consideration by the contracting body in the preparation of the project tender, within the framework of the Health/AI Programme.

The main objectives, which are not the only ones, are: to predict health problems related to the medicines of the users of the Catalan health system for their prevention by communicating this risk to health professionals so that they can anticipate corrective actions by improving the safe use of medicines and contributing to the efficiency thereof and the health system. Another of the objectives is related to the reuse of available clinical data to generate knowledge in the safe use of medicines.
